Dead gun bill coming back to life – Normally, I’d be writing about the opening of the bass fishing season. It opened across the state today, and I’m sure every man, woman and child worth their weight in spinnerbaits will be on the water somewhere. But things are never normal in this state, and while catching bass is a lot of fun, there is always something more demanding. As you may have heard, the state Senate withdrew Bill S6005 on Tuesday because the democrat majority couldn’t get the 32 votes needed to pass. But as gratifying as that was, I wouldn’t exactly call the withdrawal an early Father’s Day gift.
