Energized residents target gun control law – Gun rights activists, hunters and others unleashed a fusillade of criticism Monday night for the state’s sweeping new gun control law and rallied behind the call of one Hilltowns county lawmaker to repeal it. The overflow crowd spilled out of the gallery and up the aisles the County Legislature’s chamber in the County Courthouse as Legislator Deborah Busch, a Berne Republican, circulated a proclamation condemning the NY SAFE Act and calling for its repeal.
