Legislators pledge help for Remington Arms – Six Mohawk Valley legislators want Remington Arms to remain the largest employer in Herkimer County and pledge their assistance should the company seek to build a new facility here. The delegation has sent to a letter to chairman and CEO of Remington Arms Outdoor Corp. to reinforce the lawmakers’ support for the state’s oldest gunmaker and its employees. The company has more than 1,000 workers locally.
