Legislators will be asked to oppose use of county seal on SAFE Act correspondence – The chairman of the Genesee County Legislature said lawmakers will be asked to pass a resolution Wednesday to oppose the state’s use of the county seal on any SAFE Act correspondence sent to pistol permit holders.  Ray Cianfrini said state police have begun mailing pistol permit recertification letters to handgun owners. Permit recertification every five years is part of the SAFE Act.
