Massena eyes resolution opposing SAFE Act – Mayor James F. Hidy will soon be the recipient of a resolution passed by the town of Potsdam in opposition to the SAFE Act, after requesting a copy of the resolution from Will Gray, a local gun rights activist who has attended the past three village board meetings. “We have been talking about the SAFE Act and reviewing resolutions passed by other resolutions,” Mr. Hidy said, noting he wanted to review the resolution passed by the town of Potsdam. “We are working on it. I’m sure we’ll come up with something. We’re looking at a fit for us,” he said.
