Opt-out forms for pistol permit-holders available in Erie County – Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs reminded pistol permit holders who have not yet completed their public records exemptions forms that his office is still accepting the opt-out paperwork.  Since the February implementation of the privacy provision in the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Act, Jacobs’ office has receive approximately 30,000 opt-out forms, from local residents.  “My office has collected opt-out forms from 50 percent of the over 60,000 pistol permit holders in Erie County,” Jacobs said. “I want to ensure that the remaining permit holders, who have not yet completed and sent in their privacy forms, know that my office will continue to accept them.”
