The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association is the state’s largest and nation’s oldest firearms advocacy organization. Since 1871, our organization has been dedicated to the preservation of Second Amendment rights, firearm safety, education and training, and the shooting sports. Our membership consists of individuals and clubs throughout the state. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)4 organization and the official NRA-affiliated State Association in New York.

 

Astorino gets $5,000 from NRA after NY gov debate

Astorino gets $5,000 from NRA after NY gov debate – The National Rifle Association donated $5,000 toward Republican Rob Astorino today, one day after he debated Gov. Andrew Cuomo and two other candidates.  It’s the first donation from the national gun-rights group toward Astorino, who has been trailing Cuomo by double-digits in public polls. The state arm of the NRA has donated $1,000, according to state elections records.  Today’s money from the NRA’s Victory Fund comes as Astorino trails Cuomo in fundraising by about 1 to 10. Astorino’s running mate says he would defund Cuomo’s SAFE Act – Republican candidate for lieutenant governor Chris Moss said Friday that he and his running mate, Rob Astorino, would “defund” Gov. Andrew M.
