The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association is the state’s largest and nation’s oldest firearms advocacy organization. Since 1871, our organization has been dedicated to the preservation of Second Amendment rights, firearm safety, education and training, and the shooting sports. Our membership consists of individuals and clubs throughout the state. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)4 organization and the official NRA-affiliated State Association in New York.

Increase in Syracuse shootings prove so-called SAFE Act a public policy failure Legislators who voted for it should admit their mistake ALBANY, NY (07/16/2015)(readMedia)– According to the Post-Standard, shootings in Syracuse are up 50% for the first six months of the year compared with the same time last year. SAFE Act big on Marchione’s agenda

SAFE Act big on Marchione’s agenda – Efforts to repeal the SAFE Act topped Sen. Kathy Marchione’s legislative priorities this year, in addition to initiatives to reform government and support the agricultural industry.  Of the roughly 100 policy-related bills the Halfmoon Republican sponsored, a little more than half stalled in the committee.
