Coalition of New York State Legislators Against Illegal Guns Urges Action on State Plan to Reduce Gun Violence – In the wake of the horrific mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut that left 20 school children and 6 teachers dead, a coalition of more than 55 New York State Legislators presented a letter to legislative leaders urging them to pass a state plan to reduce gun violence. Joined today by advocates and victims of gun violence on the steps of City Hall, the coalition unveiled an eight point plan that will yield real results.
