Federal contract to benefit Remington Arms — Remington Arms is set to manufacture more than 1,000 sniper rifles for the U.S. Army, according to a news release from U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer. The $8.9 million project – which will produce guns used by service members in Afghanistan – is part of a federal contract through the Army Foreign Military Sales program.
