In primary, gun group president says vote to “repudiate” the SAFE Act – A lot of people will be watching the Democratic primary today to see how months of bad press will affect the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo.  One of those scrutinizing the outcome will be Tom King, president of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association.  A year and a half after passage of New York’s tough gun-control law, known as the SAFE Act, King said Cuomo remains “unacceptable” to many gun owners. He said the SAFE Act just went too far.
