Junior League Peaks Interest In Shooting — Dennis Bennett has been involved in the Central Empire State Pistol League for over 10 years and this year his idea for a junior league in Walton garnered support and involvement from the local youngsters willing to learn the sport of shooting. Bennett was granted permission by the Central Empire State league to start the junior program if he could find support. Bennett had little trouble finding supporters and the fledgling program began to welcome girls and boys ages 12-21. Bennett said the program is affiliated with the NRA (National Rifle Association) which cloaks its participants in safety from the second they enter the range until the final round is shot.
