Don’t delay in contacting us.
We are often contacted months or even years after a member has experienced some problem regarding their Second Amendment rights. Any delay in contacting us hurts our chances of assisting you.
Be careful of what you do – and don’t do.
When members take some action on their own, such as writing a letter to a judge or filing court papers, or calling a court clerk, or appearing in a hearing without an attorney, it limits us in ways to help resolve the problem. Many actions that need to be taken are very time sensitive and once those deadlines pass, it is often too late to pursue an avenue that might have provided the outcome that the member hoped to have.
If you send any paperwork by any means other than through email, it will not be returned to you.
If you have retained an attorney or if an attorney has been appointed to represent you, we will speak to your attorney if he/she contacts us.
