Local legislators reiterate support for Remington Arms

Local legislators reiterate support for Remington Arms – Six Mohawk Valley legislators want to make sure Remington Arms knows it’s wanted in Herkimer County, especially in light of the 2013 SAFE Act and the company’s recent out-of-state expansions, the latter of which led to layoffs in Ilion.  They sent a letter to Remington Chairman and CEO George Kollitides Sept. 30 to reaffirm their “interest in working with you and your team to ensure Remington’s continued viability and its enduring presence in Herkimer County.”
They noted they’d support a modernization of the existing facility.
