Massena resident calls out Mayor Hidy on lack of action on SAFE Act

Massena resident calls out Mayor Hidy on lack of action on SAFE Act – A Massena resident criticized the village board for sidestepping an opportunity to oppose New York state’s SAFE Act.  Mayor James F. Hidy indicated at last month’s meeting that the village board wasn’t going to take action on an issue after gun rights activist Will Gray made multiple efforts to convince the village board to pass a resolution opposing the measure, a move that has been taken by several other boards in the county.
