Sheriff in Finger Lakes critical of NY gun law – A sheriff in the Finger Lakes says he has no intention of releasing names and addresses of pistol permit holders as required under New York’s new gun law.  Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould tells the Post-Standard of Syracuse that the law’s requirement intruded on law-abiding gun owners’ privacy. He said that unless he is ordered to by a court, he will not release those names and addresses.
