Symbolic battle between counties and New York State over the NY SAFE Act

Symbolic battle between counties and New York State over the NY SAFE Act – Onondaga County may soon join a growing number of other counties in a symbolic battle with New York State one year after passage of the SAFE Act.  County legislator Casey Jordan will introduce a bill before the Public Safety Committee on Wednesday that would prohibit the state from using the official Onondaga County Seal or any other symbols, logos or letterheads without the county’s consent.
