Sen. O’Mara pushes for SAFE Act repeal – Whether you have guns for hunting, target shooting or personal protection, you are going to be affected one way or another by New York’s controversial SAFE Act gun control law. On the second anniversary of passage of the law, which you may recall was rammed through the state legislature in the middle of the night with no outside input, state Sen. Tom O’Mara, R-Big Flats, is cosponsoring a Senate bill to repeal the SAFE Act. O’Mara was one of 18 state senators who voted against the SAFE Act two years ago.
